Who we are
This website is operated by the private practice of Mr Richard Bell, Consultant Hepatobiliary & General Surgeon (“the practice”). The practice is the data controller for information you send us through this website. Contact: admin@rbell-surgery.com.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form we receive your name, telephone number, email address, the nature of your enquiry, your insurer if you provide it, and your message. Please keep medical detail brief; the team will discuss your needs with you directly.
Why we use it
We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and arrange appointments. The lawful bases are your consent and, where health information is involved, the provision of health care. We do not use your information for marketing and we never sell it.
Where it is stored
Form submissions are processed by our website host, Netlify, Inc., and forwarded to the practice by email. Netlify may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Submissions are deleted from the website host once they have been dealt with.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted within 12 months. If you become a patient, your records are kept in line with professional guidance for medical records.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to deliver them.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw consent, by emailing admin@rbell-surgery.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
